Cant see almost anything in chat

Bug description: The chat is not working on only one character and what i mean is that on the specific character i cant see what i type in any of the global chats nor whispers but on /say i see the text above me but not in chat and the thing is that anybody else can see what i type and before this whole thing i had:
/4 for global_ro (now its /1)
/5 for global_en (now its /3)
But on every other character everything works just fine
(and btw i dont think if this will help but the last thing i did was farming on isles of thunder and logging out over there)

Right click the "General" tab in your chat, go to settings, and reset the chat defaults on the bottom of the settings menu.

I've tried that already and nothing changed i reinstalled the game too and i have no idea what to do

Try quitting the global chats and join again. If that doesn't work,

Code:

/console reloadui

or

/reload

and also remove any UI addons which might interfere with the chat windows.

Another thing you can try is going to your WoW folder -> WTF -> Account -> FREAKZ -> Felsong -> [Name of the character]

Once you're there, delete chat-cache and chat-cache.old

Try again after a server restart and see if the issue persists.

If there was a server restart 5 hours ago as the uptime says i tried reloading the ui and quited the globals right now and i still cant see what i type

With the client shut down completely you deleted your WTF, Interface and Cache folder? That should reset your chat options to default.

or

Close down World of Warcraft then go to your World of Warcraft folder. You'll then need to go into your WTF folder > Account > (Account name) > (Realm) > (Character name). In the folder with your character name will be a file called "chat-cache.txt". You can either delete that or rename it to "chat-cache.old".

If neither solution from above works, download the game again and retry.

THE 2ND METHOD WORKED!!!! Thank you so much dude i tried like changing the normal chat.chache to chat.chace.old and the original old one to chat.chache.txt dude you dont know how thankfull i am right now!
I dont know if you understand what i said, thank you so much again!
