Bug description: The first part works, and you'll get credit for it, but after the cinematic, you are still where you accepted the quest and clicked* the ladder, which means downstairs, instead of upstairs with the mob you need to kill. =/ Result? You can't get up there in time to kill him and get credit. I'm pretty sure you should be up there with Ga'nar in order to kill Gorr'thog, because otherwise you can't complete this quest. =/
Proof: Try doing it, or ask other players once they get there, you'll see.

Timed event fail because of lag/many players doing the quest, spawned npc on the top as a temporary fix, he respawns every 1 minute. Will rework the quest later

In my case I am not able to complete the quest, beacuse when I kill the mob it doesn't count it. Looking forward the solution.

Yes, I did. And, as it is mentioned above, I had the ladder issue. But it was not a problem, because I took a stairs up. However, next I was killing the mob like 6 times. Finally it worked, but I met guy who had the same problem. And yes - it is strange, because I did this quest with my husband and he didn't have any issue. And also the guy, who had the same issue as me, told me that his wife and friend did it without any problem. I've abandoned the quest, and still didn't worked. It started to work after 3rd or 4th crash of server from the begging of the q.

used the chain , went up the stairs , killed mob (wihch is yellow not red glow) , didnt count

abandon 3 times > worked the 4th time

Yeah, it seems the quest mob was spawned upstairs as a temporary fix so players can complete it. =/ You should be able to go kill him even if you get ported back where you used the ladder.

Fixed, now npc is also personal summoned for everyone @ end of cutscene
