Pet attacking

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for having me on the forum and I just wanted to ask a really quick question but I have my pet on follow and not on Stay so my bear (Yogi) follows me but when I attack a mob I thought he was suppose to run and attack the Single Target or am I wrong and he won't attack unless the mob hits me.

I could be wrong and sorry if I wasted your time but I thought he would attack.
