Hello HoshiroOtosuke,

This is working as intended.

Before the upgrade, with the 54 points maximum, you have 20 ranks of the trait which gives you 0.5% more damage, healing or armor (depending on spec) per level. You also get additional stamina for each trait purchased.

After the upgrade, that 20 ranks trait is split into 2 different traits with only 1 rank each. You also get all of the AP spent on those 20 old ranks refunded. However, since they're now split into only 2 traits, and you unlock several more, much more powerful traits, aswell as the option to unlock a 4th trait rank on all formerly 3-rank traits, the cost is increased.

To combat the increased cost, you now have the possibility to increase your Artifact Knowledge from a maximum of 25 to a new maximum of 40, which increased your AP gains by 4,000,000%.
