nope. it should not be like that.

i saw frost mages cast ring of frost and go ice block... but their ring still worked.

that was not 7.1.5 tho.

it's general knowledge that the ROF acts like a channeled spell. If the caster mage is in a CC that disables your char control the ROF will not freeze the enemies that walk through it.

IB doesnt break the "channel" spell. Only spells like cyclone, poly, blind, etc.
This is not a bug, it's how it's supposed to work.

RoF since it was implemented it worked like a channel, if the mage gets cc, rof stops freezing. No bug here.

how Ring of frost got changed over the past Expansions :
