The launcher (16mb one) wont start

I cant launch the game(using the 16mb launcher). using win7, i've played through the launcher before but i cant start it now, theres an error about no internet connection.
What i tried was, Read only removal, Adding the launcher and wow.exe to the firewall, reinstalling it multiple times
