I got hit by ~ 2.8M by a fury warr in bg. Keep in mind he had full bust and berseking but it's way too much.

And this was on an arms warr with defensive stance up.

According to https://wow.gamepedia.com/Light%27s_Judgment_(racial) it has a formula of Ap X 6.25. I don't know if this is for bfa or legion.

If that is correct a ret or fury has something like 25k - 30k Ap
30 * 6 = 180k

That 2M crit from ret is a 1.3M noncrit. Even if the spell is increased by ret mastery and the player had crusade 45% increase dmg there is a long way from 180k to 1.3M.

Also if someone can check if the 3 second delay works or if there should be an animation at the place where it hits cause it felt like the dmg was instant and there wasn't any animation.

The damage for the racial was already fixed to match numbers from simcraft and actual wowlogs by players using it in anthorus.
For pvp there might although be a seperate nerf, but in pve having 2-4m hits is normal with bis gear as blizz decided to balance the new racials with bfa.
Notice that nobody really had bis on retail with allied races as the races were released in late legion, might also make it hitting a bit higher here.

The 3 second delay works fine for me on my priest, but idk if other players can also see the animation on their client side.

For your ret example dmg would be like 30 * 16 * (dmg multipliers) = 480k * (dmg multipliers from artifact weapon/buffs/versatility)

Btw: read this wowhead comment, sounds like it is anyway broken on fury warrior in 7.3.5:

Update:
I found something interesting regarding this topic.
There is indeed a bug, because in pvp the racial should be nerfed (which makes sense as 2-4m hits are pve numbers).
Here you can see information about the pvp nerf:


Regarding to this hotfix (it was patch 8.0.1 - August 2, 2018) the racial had 60% dmg nerf in pvp, which is probably missing on freakz.

Here you can see a retail player use lf draenei ret pala with 921 ilvl and 72 traits. I saw him hitting like 500k with wings (full stacked crusade would hit more):

I've noticed overkill/overheal have insane values for most dps/healing spells at random times. Its like its not affected by any modifiers (vers, armor, wall effects, pvp reduction, pvp templates etc.) And i've noticed that on a lot of private server. Haven't yet experienced such high damage while having full HP.

Even in PvE is doing way too much dmg I've seen hits for over 9m on single target. Keep in mind that this is an aoe spell.

we need insight from a real expert
the only reason lightforged worth farming is for their nuke which literally says 'massive damage'
180k what you say, is a literal joke for 3 min cd

Idk whats there to talk about, I gave enough proof how it should work and that it WAS op on retail too.
Allied races were only available to people who pre-purchased bfa so they can TEST the new races which where obviously too strong on a 980+ char and got nerfed patch 8.0.1.
There was actually not enough time to get so much gear on retail to hit 5-10m crits in a perfect pve situation.

But if you want some mathematical example, it is very easy to calculate theoretical burst dmg on my ret pala:
Formula = strength x 16 x (any % dmg increase)
Base Strength = 59507
Strength buffs : concordance = 15700, Alchemist stone = 16760, Flask = 1300, Pot = 2500, Paladin buff (trait) = 4% str
Final strength = 103346

Now the base dmg without further modifier is 103k * 16 = 1.65m

At this point ALL dmg modifier apply and it gets quite insane.
Ret paladin passive = 5%, Crusade = 45%, Artifact traits = 5% and 10%, Versatility = 5%

Total dmg = 1.65m * 1.05 * 1.45 * 1.05 * 1.10 * 1.05 = 3m
Crit dmg = 3m * 2 = 6m !!!

So this 6m is "just" a ret paladin, now take furry warrior or other classes with more dmg modifieres and you can even break 10m crits.
Thats why blizzard nerfed the ap/sp modifier later on.

Conclusion:
Please check if the -60% dmg pvp nerf is correctly applied, otherwise this topic can be declined.

im still confused ... i farmed everyday to create a lightforged but im disorientated because i wouldn't make one if they are doing literally 0 dmg for 3 min CD...because the advertise says deals 'massive' damage with their racial so idk
im curious to see expert opinion from freakz developer
