Security with phone number

I think it will be complicated but..i know some have deleted or inactive mail accounts so in some cases you cant recover your wow account..so i suggest to bound the account also to a phone number and via sms you can change your password or something else. What do you think about that?

SMS no. I was thinking at two-factor google authentication, but not sure how many players know about that and if it's worth bothering implementing this

Most people which recover their old accounts still have proof/info about it altough the requests were not so often lately. For max 5 requests in 1-2 months, I'd say not to bother with 2 factor stuff.

Through account recovery process? You can provide screenshots + any other relevant info which proves it's your account and yes, the password can be changed.
