Bug description: As soon as you accept the quest, you will enter a phase where there are no more NPC´s in the gorge, no matter if friendly or hostile. By abandoning the quest, you wil be phased back (Screenshot 2).

Confirmed.

Players are phased out of the phase where the Iron Colossus is.
