Bug description: Currently it seems like Volcanic Plume is being cast on Ranged classes determined by specialization regardless of their proximity to target (either that or range check is broken which would explain issues for melee auto-attack range as well), it should instead spawn on any player regardless of specialization but only if they are far from enemies. For example Volcanic Plume should not spawn when players stack on tank for Ragnarok during God-King Skovald encounter or Infernal Eruption during Talixae Flamewreath encounter

True & confirmed, it appears that the volcanic script is an attempt as it appears that the mobs themselves dont cast Volcanic (?) on retail big pulls would make plenty of volcanos on players that were 8+ yards away. on here it seems to target ranged .

I don't sleep because Arms is bork.

My only problem with this affix on this server is that it was coded to target classes by specialization and that is not the correct way, it gives melees a great advantage and makes life 10 times worse for casters. Mobs are supposed to check the distance between themselves and the players constantly, no matter their specialization or class. Mob should then pick a random player from the list of "distant" players, if there are any, and do the volcanic crap. Distant players can be ANY class of ANY spec, as long as they are far away enough from x,y,z mob they should be targeted by volcanos.

If a mob has more than 1 player in his list of distant targets he should pick only one guy (randomly) and do volcano on him, not all distant players.
And yes, if everyone is completely stacked on mobs and all mobs are completely stacked aswell, there shouldnt be volcanos since there are no "distant" players. Ofc this is almost impossible to do as almost all dungeons have cleaving trash or other abilities that prevent stacking.


But just as proof that no volcanos should spawn if everyone is stacked on mobs and all mobs are stacked, look at this court of stars 22 volcanic video from retail 7.2.5, skip to 20:50 and watch Talixae fight. Not a single volcano spawned the entire fight because they executed perfectly and hugged boss and imps the whole time.
