WOW's performing initial setup is stopping near 100%

Thanks for your attention:

I had faced problems that prevented me from launching WoW the last few days, I noticed that in the task manager, the wow.exe process is a 0% CPU and very slowly increasing in memory, no possibility of launching. I tried everything mentioned as a possible solution but without success so I was forced to delete the game and restart over again with the torrent given by the server.
Once the torrent is fully downloaded, the application should start via the Freakz's launcher, I noticed the following thing as shown in the following screenshot:

The initial setup is stucking near 100% (not blocked, still works but has 0% CPU in the Task Manager). This case remains as long as the setup is open.

Any assistance please?

Hello ysera86,

Make sure to remove the Read Only property from the entire game foldr (not just Data) and to set every Freakz launcher and every WoW executable to run with administrator privileges.

Thanks, I was thinking about this. The problem is that everytime the read only option persists and returns again even after being removed.

"Read only" is a property that only applies to files inside folders, folders themselves can't be or not be read only, this is why you see a filled out box instead of either an empty box or a tick. This filled out box is a default state that only exists for folders, you can only put a tick or an empty box to folders to change all the files inside them, but the folder itself will show the filled box again after. If you check the files inside the folder you'll see that none of them are set to read only.

Make sure that the game client is located in a folder that's not a folder protected by the system (i.e. the Windows folder) - basically the game must have permission (and disk space) to write some files.

You could also attempt to grab the latest version of our launcher from the download guide (the one provided in the torrent is a bit outdated) and see if that works.

Actually, as before the first issues I had faced, it is located in a subfolder in C:/ disk outside windows folder.
(C:\\Games\\WoW Legion)
BTW I replace torrent old files with those brought by the launcher.

I don't think I have issues with protection software because everything runned well before issues were coming. Actually, the problem is really annoying

Please check for that, it's definitely something related to permissions (or possibly data being in use by something else)

Have you tried restarting the computer?
Did you remove the torrent file to stop the torrent from seeding?

I tested in safe boot, the application launched but when I return to the normal mod, the issue appears again.
How to find out the service which may interfere with wow, I don't know.
