Today I made prequest (The Righteous March) on new character. There is the same problem and you can see it on the movie.
Maybe it's because of strange quest To the Defense of Karabor (https://www.wow-freakz.com/quest_helper.php?quest=33253&&name=to-the-defense-of-karabor) - don't mistake with The Defense of Karabor which is quest line. That one is as database tells is started by "?' and ends at Exarch Akama too.

Hi, i was at Finding a Foothold quest, i followed vellen too slow, the quest didn't count as complete after we arivved at the destination, then i abandoned the quest so i could take it again and complete it, but there was no Vellen back there to take the quest from. What should i do?

Done them , but why doesn't my "As I Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Moon" achievement don't count "The light Prevails" ????

It's the only open line in As I Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Moon

But the turn-in ias at Shelly Hamby and if you do that you get the quest (follower) Shelly Hamby , in questlog ready for turn in , but you can't (the whole garrison and followersystem is still a riddle for me , but you have 1 follower less

For me the same , didn't get "The Defense of Karabor" from Akama (did prequel in order)

My experience with this questline , 1st char (pala1) did all but didn't get the achievement , 2nd char (pala2) i took some time between quests and finished and got achievement , now the 3td char (feral druid) don't get the quest so no achievement.

My impression is that the workaround works often , but is not stable , plz look into it

Confirmed, I also have same bug, right now I am trying to take the quest and have exact same bug.

I've deleted cache already. And following http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=8845/as-i-walk-through-the-valley-of-the-shadow-of-moon#comments the guide yet it has serious bug.
