Happened to me multiple times as well, especially at https://www.wow-freakz.com/object_finder.php?object=273696&&name=lightforged-beacon and https://www.wow-freakz.com/object_finder.php?object=275094&&name=lightforged-beacon.

P.S.This bug isn't consistent. Sometimes beacons worked without a problem; sometimes it would let me select them on first try but crash wow when I canceled selection and tried again; and sometimes it would crash as many times as i re-laucnched game to try again, forcing me to go to some other beacon on the map.

P.S.S. Please move this topic to PvE section as it's not related to quests.

A thing like this can also be fixed with deleting your cache folder. Similar issues like, your game crashing upon using the Flight Master's Whistle, would usually be fixed after deleting your cache folder.

If the bug starts becoming very persistent despite deleting cache, feel free to open up a new report.
