The logic behind rejecting this bug is all wrong.
The idea is that every single heal and absorb should be reduced by dampening .. be it direct heals, hots, absorbtions, mage food HP regen. polymorph heal , heals that are percentage of damage and so on (Someone should check is the VT heal is affected by dampening btw, or other dmg bases heals).


In the case of dampening someone should find proof that it shouldn't be affected rather that it should be..

@ 3:23 the warr does 205.5k MS dmg and he get's healed for ~14k

this is a 7.2.5 video and by my calculation the warr only had 3 ranks in the trait because the match checks out this way rather than with 4 ranks.
So 9% of 205.5 is 18.5k - this should be the unreduced by dampening heal.
But in the video there was dampening ~ 40 seconds so that's maybe 25% dampening.

18.5 * 0.75 = 13.9 .. very close to the 14k in the video.

Conclusion - should be affected.

Noted: this shouldn't be treated like a minor bug. In pvp, everything that involves dampening, pvp templates and spell multipliers are a very serious thing.

Your calculation is perfectly fine but 25% heal reduction is not from dampening its from Mortal Wounds effect. Also druids Ysera gift isnt affected by such effects which is far better heal

At the exact moment he used MS @ 3:23 in the video he didn't have the MS debuff from the other arms warr on him .. he only had the trauma debuff.
Ysera's gift should also be affected by dampening and I think it is.

If I'm not mistaken the only spell that ignored dampening at one point during Legion was shaman's earth shield totem's absorb and even that spell was changed in 7.2 so that it should be affected by dampening.

Since you are already making repprts like this would you please report other heals that should be affected by dampening or similar effects. Community would appreciate it
