Try the following:

Do you have dynamic IP address? If yes, try to reconnect your router to get a new IP address, maybe you got a blocked IP address.
Otherwise try contacting your ISP regarding incoming connections.
Check your firewall and add an exception for our server.

Nah itsa static. I also tried unchecking read only on the folder but it keeps undoing it despite being on an administrator account.

Make sure you enter your password and username correctly (try email instead of username too), and give it few tries to enter. Happens to me too but works after 2-3 tries.

Regarding the read only, it will remain like this, what that box filled indicates is that the folders are being read only(You can't untick read only from folders, only files), but the files are not, basically thats how it works so don't worry about that just ignore it, your files inside the folder/subfolders are not set to read only.
