If the player has more than one Magus of the Dead traits active, currently nothing will change.

The intended way of the trait to work would be to add +1 Magus of the Dead pets to spawn per trait active on the player while casting Apocalypse and/or Army of the Dead.

In my case i have 2 active traits. Yet only 1 magus spawns.

Pretty sure it shouldn't spawn more than one because then DK would do 200k st dps instead of 120k @ 2m dmg done which would be even more insane than it already is.

Here is a retail log of a DK that has 3 magus traits, you can see in the event log that there is only Magus 1 and no Magus 2 and 3 like it is for the army which means there is only 1 magus and traits only empower its damage probably, but lets see what DK CM knows about it.

Yes, i've done more research now and i was wrong about it. The dmg gets consolidated into one instead of splitting it into multiple adds, an early patch misled me.

Apologies for the false report, you may move it to Rejected.
