Also, note that people on the Horde site gravitate towards PvE, whereas Alliance players tend to enjoy PvP more.

Does it really matter if I decide to PvP? I did a few battlegrounds and I was matched with Alliance plaayers.

It depends - battlegrounds can be tricky, but if you decide to pursue PvP as your endgame path and do arenas, the Alliance is your best bet.

Im sorry but doing arenas has nothing to do with alliance being pvp oriented. You can find viable partners on horde side also.
