Hi, thanx for the guide,
i have some questions for all Elemental shamans:
- do you have any problem to be competitive with locks or hunters (same ilvl ... half dps of them) ?
- why do you go for full mastery or mastery/haste (ratio 3:2) while other forums (icyveins, ....) say Crit>haste>mastery?
- is icefury viable in PVE ?

you can see me on armory (Chamberlain), do you notice something wrong in my setup ?

1- yes we sure have problems if we dont kite. elemental shaman is just like shadow priest. damage, hug pillar, heal, damage, snare, hug pillar, heal.
you cant take pure damage head-on.

2- as i said, there are 3 builds for elemental shaman. only the AoE build which requires spamming chain lightning, needs 78%+ mastery.
the rest should be spent on haste and crit.

other, (NORMAL) builds enchantments ratio would be even 30% - 30% - 30% haste:mastery:crit. depending on your talent. for example, ascendance build requires high critical rate, like 35% and some fair haste.
While for non-ascendance, i suggest mastery and haste as main enchantments.

(FROM FULL MASTERY, I MEANT LIKE 75%-80% )

it's more complicated than that.

this guide is for beginners.

for expert players, many things come in account such as legendaries, team mates, mythic modifiers, enemy player class, spec, chosen talent.

it is impossible to mention it all in one guide. even if it is possible, i do not have the time to do so. sorry.

3- ice fury is NOT viable in PvE, sadly.

simply spamming chain lightning for 2+ targets will surpass icefury.


icefury is used for its instant cast. since you can run while you damage.


4- i could not see your selected talents in armory, somehow.

but based on your gear and legendaries,

I may suggest you the AoE build.

75-80% mastery,
20% haste.

totem mastery + lightning rod + elemental blast + liquid magma totem.

(do not waste your global cooldown on flameshock/lava burst in AoE (5+))

you will top the charts in AoE (3+) , probably...

...

and in single target, apply flameshock, cast lava burst, cast elemental blast, lightning bolt.

can a gm/staff be kind to enough to make shaman spec pic in my guide clickable?

the 3 pics right under [select your spec],
so that they take the viewer to the related part.

e.g. I click on the elemental pic, page scrolls down and i see beggining of elemental.

i really think you should tell staff to get their shit together.

a player went through the effort of signing up, making a topic and typing, just to report and get a bug fixed that is affecting thousands of players.
the staff usually discard all that and really don't give a *** about the good intention. y'all only care about bug report standards and formalities,
but i think trying to reproduce a bug is way faster than spamming forum with "show proof" and "send proof"


it's quite insensible.

what could happen if a 'staff' try to post a bug's proof instead of asking for it or getting salty for not being cocksucked?

seriously, i really don't give a *** anymore, because no body really seems to want to help the community, and the 'staff' don't either.

i think you should work to upgrade the staff first, THEN add new expansions.


i don't want new spoiled egoistic pieces of shit as privileged moderators. i'd rather see the bugs THAT ME AND OTHERS ARE GOING THROUGH THE EFFORT OF REPORTING to get fixed. let alone new expansion.



P.S. check rejected bugs. about 60% of them are actual and real bugs that are being rejected because staff don't feel like investigating it.
