Now or wait for next patch

So I am wondering if it's smart to wait to donate for a characters trinkets or do it now.

Assuming new patch will be coming "soon" I am thinking about waiting.
Also when the new patch comes out, will the shop items also be upgraded? or will the BiS pve items be the same only higher ilvl?

If someone knows more about this i would love to know aswell.

"You will be able to upgrade your BIS items FOR FREE to ilvl 930/940 items of the same type (ilvl 925 trinket => ilvl 940 trinket, etc) when we implement Tomb of Sargeras or even higher when switch to a new Legion patch!"
