Spell ID differences

Scorching Blast (unavoidable raid damage to players in red phase)
Normal - 92968
Heroic - 92970

Flash Freeze (unavoidable damage/debuff to players in blue phase)
Normal - 92978
Heroic - 92980

Arcane Storm (raid damage to players, might not always appear if interrupts are insanely good? might always get at least 1 tick though)
Normal - 92961
Heroic - 92961

Biting Chill (unavoidable damage to at least 1 player)
Normal - 92975
Heroic - 92977

Consuming Flames (unavoidable damage to at least 1 player)
Normal - 92971
Heroic - 92973

Dark Sludge (heroic only - I think this is the puddle on the ground left by adds that only show up in heroic)
Heroic - 92988

Engulfing Darkness (heroic only - I think this is the unavoidable damage/debuff on 1 target in the new heroic phase)
Heroic - 92983

Maloriak Buffs

Remedy (self-heal that needs to be dispelled/stolen - I think this is cast at random)
Normal - 92965
Heroic - 92967

I think those damage abilities and debuffs and whatnot should be able to identify fights pretty quickly.
