How to gain reputation

• When you give 20 reputation (+ or -), you get 1 point
  
• Each 7 days (sunday night) you get (only if you were active on the forum in the past 7 days):
  
  • +1 point - Normal user
    
  • +1.5 points - VIP
    
  • +2 points - Helper
    
  • +3 points - WoW GameMaster
    
  • +4 points - Moderator
    
  • +5 points - Super-Moderator
    
  • +10 points - Administrator
  
  
• At every 30 posts you get +1 point
  
• At every warn received you get -40 points
  
• + 10-50 points reputation for wow guides (which will be added on the site too here)
  
• +5 points for each bug posted in the WoW Bug Report section (you will receive the reputation automatically when the bug is fixed)
  
• +10 points for each suggestion posted in the forum suggestions section (you will receive the reputation automatically when your suggestion is implemented)
  
• +10 points for each forum bug posted in the forum bug report section (you will receive the reputation automatically when the bug is fixed)
  
• You can also convert voting points to reputation points if you vote for freakz in voting sites (more info here)
  

Reputation received from others is based on a multiplier

• Default value for the multiplier is m=1
  
• If the giving user has more reputation than the receiver then the multiplier is m=1,1
  
• Based on the reputation the giving user has, the multiplier is different:
  
  
  • 300+ reputation => m=1,4
    
  • 200+ reputation => m=1,3
    
  • 100+ reputation => m=1,2
    
  
  
• The received reputation is calculated using this formula:
  final_reputation = initial_reputation * m
  The giving user only loses the amount he offered, only for the receiving user the formula is used
  

Warning! Do not abuse the multiplier! Example of such forbidden action: X & Y, X gives Y 20 Reputation Points, Y gives X 20 Reputation Points back, but X will receive 28 Reputation Points, instead of 20, according to the rules of the multiplier. This process can be repeated for several times, involving the same users, but it's strictly forbidden and will bring you only temporary benefits, so, think twice before trying such thing. Please do not treat Reputation as an ordinary (shareable) currency and don't make it a purpose of your posts!

What can you do with the reputation

• You can modify your forum user rank from your profile page (20 points)
  
• You can safely make trades with other users in the reputations trade page
  
• You can earn forum achievements
