Bug description: When you go to a world quest, it won't always activate/detect. Resulting it in not counting that you completed it.

Confirmed.

Some quests show up incredibly slow.

Maybe it helps if you activate world quests on the map.
Assuming your quest log opens with L button you do this:
Press L (open questlog)> Right click into map (shows broken isle map)-> press L (close questlog)-> press L (open questlog)-> Activate quest by clicking on the ! on the shown local map.
Note: stay in the zone you wanna do wq (suramar for suramar quests) and dont stay in a cave/underground area!

Sounds like a cheat code xD, but thats how you activate quests on your map.
