Hello, the spell is not bugged at the moment, it was just that you were standing in a pitch for longer period of time(damage increases), or in multiple pitches which result in more damage.

Firelands is currently locked due to bugged loot table, should be back to normal once loot problem is fixed.

I suggest you wait for server restart, as that fixed the problem for some people, if that does not work please comment here again

Perhaps you have already joined the channel? have you tried doing /leave global_en and then rejoining?

Hello, are you sure quest is currently bugged, i tested it on ptr and it worked fine for me, plus the number of players that completed this quest changed, it might be ur character's problem? try retak ...
