I tried reloading, relogging, abandoning the quest, deleting cache, to no avail.
Also I noticed that on the freakz database there are two quests with the same name, but different IDs. Don't know if ... |

I can confirm this.
I also experienced point 2 when joining alone in the "Temple of Hotmogu" brawl, so i guess it is unrelated to how battleground is joined.
