7.3.5 Question Allied Races

Hello,

I am very excited to see the update today about the upcoming 7.3.5. When I scrolled through it though I noticed a difference between 2 of the updates with regards to allied races. In the first update on "Dec 12th" you stat that when the races are first added you will be able to make a new character with them with no requirements. Here is the direct quote from the update,

Dec 12th, 2019
"Here is a list of everything that will be available at the start of 7.3.5, and on the PTR as well:
- 4 new allied races, without any requirement: Void Elf & Lightforged Draenei for the Alliance, Nightborne & Highmountain Tauren for the Horde"

However in the newest update you are now saying something different,

March 13, 2020
"- 4 new allied races: Void Elf & Lightforged Draenei for the Alliance, Nightborne & Highmountain Tauren for the Horde! Each of them has their own requirement and quest line, in order to unlock them."

I ask because I want to make a char of the opposing faction with an allied race, but would then have to level a different character of that faction that I will never use to 110, just to do 1 quest to then level the new allied race character to 110 again.

Can you please give some clarification on if we will be able to access all allied races at launch, or will be have to level a separate char on a different faction and rep grind out the achievements on that character just to abandon them for the allied race we want.

It's impossible to do the recruitment chain (example) for a Horde Allied Race if you're Alliance, so yes, you'll need a character from that faction to unlock its new races.

Thanks for ththe fast response shocker. So you are saying you will have to do the quest to unlock them. It wont be with mo requirement like the update said ?
And will the achievement be account wide meaning i can complete it on any character or it has to be on the alliance side character. I ask because when I did it on retail I could complete the achievements on horde and then just use a 110 alliance ton to do the quest. I didnt have to grind rep on the opposing faction.

Yes, the achievement & reputation requirement is checked account-wide, works blizzlike.

Edit: They had no requirement during the first few weeks of the PTR because the questline wasn't scripted, now it is.

Thank you for the clarification. Appreciate it. I'll level up an alliance toon for the quest and grind the rep on my horde then.
