HOW TO CONFIG BANDICAM - GUIDE

Today, all day i tested bandicam.
All people know - exists 2 software for recording video from games.
This software is Fraps and Bandicam.

Fraps have only one codec ( internal special for fraps)
Bandicam have different codecs (5 internal and support external codecs)

At the moment i have version 1.9.0

1) install this software to disk D/E/F or other.DONT INSTALL TO DISK C.If you install to disk C - you get multiple bugs.
Check the file hosts in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
If in file hosts doesnt exist text - 127.0.0.1 http://www.bandicam.com ,you must to add this and save.DONT SELECT SAVE AS.... ONLY SAVE,WITHOUT CHANGE FORMAT
2) Setup general -

Output folder - any.select your folder
Advanced - check next options : 2/3/4/7 this is recommended
Hooking - All enable

3) Video settings
Record (left side)
Sound :
Save audio WAV (optional)
Primary device - WIN 7 sound ( if windows 7 on your PC)
Secondary - Microphone ( optional) if you want to rec your voice.
Two sound mixing - ENABLE

4) Video settings
Format (right side)
Video :
Size - I select Full size ( if monitor different than 1280x720 and 1920x1080) or select lower quality if your PC is low-end.
FPS - 30 ( standart) 60 FPS if you doing montage for slow-motion.

4.2) CODEC settings
! WARNING, change this settings carefully !
In this section exists multiple codecs ,5 internal codecs works good..external codecs only 2 have good quality.
Codecs Xvid/Mpeg1 have quality settings (80 is optimal,100 is good) DONT DISABLE VBR bitrate.

Mpeg1 - Lower quality / LOW Lag on recording / LOW FPS (BAD codec) but for desktop recording is good. -- Result points - 8
Xvid - Low quality / Lag on recording / LOW FPS / Quality of colors = bad. Better than MPEG1 ----------------- Result points - 12
MJPEG - medium quality / minimum laggs / good FPS / Video eats few place on HDD ------------------------- Result points - 17
YV12 - this is an codec (lossless) and takes more place on HDD, quality of colors - bad but dont lagg ------Result points - 18
RGB24 - Same as YV12 but better,colors similar to original /no lag / eat more memory than all codecs ------Result points - 19

External codecs

FFDshow - good codec ( if configurate) but have low FPS / lossless --------------------------------------------- Result points - 15
Lagarith - best codec ( i think) recording with low loss quality/ without any lag / high FPS --------------------- Result points - 22

http://lags.leetcode.net/LagarithSetup_1327.exe - download lagarith codec.

Xvid/Mjpeg/Mpeg1 - this is codecs lossy ( low quality) and when you recording - this codecs does 2 works , record and converting at same time,And ingame you get lagg/FPS drop.

YV12/RGB24 - may take 4 GB for 1 minute recording.
Lagarith - lower than 1 GB for 1 minute

If you get lagg - on Lagarith/YV12/RGB24 - use MJPEG or XVID.

Fine,you selected the codec then select the sound.

5) Sound
Channels - stereo
Frequency - 41000 hz ( standart) 48000 - better quality.
Codec - i selected Mpeg/192 kbps ( PCM better but Mpeg have config)

Tips -
Select the option - hide cursor and DONT USE AUTO-CONFIG FORMAT.( templates)

This will be useful and i strongly recommend this as a recording program, you have a sample of recording with bandicam using an I3 and 512 vram at my signature (if Youtube won't hate my video again D: ).

Fraps for high-end computers,record in RGB24 ( special mod for FRAPS) adica lossless.

Bandicam for all computers.
Vrei low quality - poti face usor.
Vrei lossless - activezi codec care trebuie.

Nui nimic ideal) dar am facut tests si Lagarith codec o aratat cel mai bun result.
40 FPS in sw without lagg.( 75 fps without recording)
RGB24/YV12 30-35 fps,dar bitrate 700000 kb/s..video players foarte greu le primesc.

Xvid e bun ( am folosit la movies FRWW 1-3) dar laggs are multe ingame..la video aproape fara laggs.

MJpeg - e vechi codec dar la calitate buna.

x264 - tot codec bun dar numai la high-end PCs..

Bun, as avea si eu nevoie de un program gen SOny vegas, dar care este faza.
Am bucatele dintr-un clip, si vreau doar sa le " lipesc " si sa pun niste melodii, nu vreau sa-i umblu la nimic.
Stie cineva vreun program ?

Un program mai mic nu exista? Vreau doar sa fac ceva simplu. Sa lipesc niste bucati de clip si sa pun muzica.
