Step 1:

• Download WoW Freakz 4.3.4 from here. (The game is DIRECT PLAY and ARCHIVED)

As download client, I recommend uTorrent 1.6. Beside the fact that it's 6+ years old, it's one of the most stable version.

Step 2:

• Delete the Launcher.exe file, to make sure you do not update to 5.x.x

Step 3:

• Set the realm to:
  

  Code:

  set realmlist wow.freakz.ro set patchlist localhost

File's location is: World of Warcraft/Data/enGB/realmlist.wtf or World of Warcraft/Data/enUS/realmlist.wtf
Open the file with Notepad, delete everything it contains and insert the code from above.

Step 4:

• Download the WoW Freakz launcher from here.

Copy the archieve's content in the World of Warcraft folder. (Do not copy the DATA folder) -------> EXAMPLE!
*A MAC-OS version is not available atm. Check this link frequently for an update, in case I forget to edit this post.

Step 5:

• Create an account here.

For the in-game log-in use the username and the password from wow.freakz.ro site, not the e-mail adress from that account, or the forum account ones.

I have tried to load the game up and even deleted the launcher.exe but I still keep getting asked to update and patch.

Is there something that I am missing?

Try this:
1. Enable showing of hidden files and folders. Use windows search tool to find every possible file asociated with world of warcraft.
2. Delete all the found files(ofcourse leave the ones which have nothing to do with wow).
3. Use CCleaner or Advanced System Care Pro to clean up your registry(use only one of the mentioned!).
4. Download the client again.
5. Run Repair.exe.
6. Set the realmlist, copy-paste the freakz launcher and try starting the game.

I have already downloaded as you showed full game 14 gb but this thing keep saying patch me patch me, really bored.

That didn't work. I load the game up and log in then it atuomatically starts trying to download an update ebfore it even shows me the realm screen.

Ok so this is what you have to do:

Download the torrent file above and unzip it. After this you start the game by opening WoW.exe, nothing else.

I think it would be more practical like this:

1. Register here.
2. Download WoW Freakz Client here. After the download is complete, delete the existing wow.exe and Launcher.exe.
3. Run Repair.exe.
4. Set the realmlist:

Code:

set realmlist wow.freakz.ro

and download WoW Freakz Launcher here and extract it's content to the client folder.
5. Make a desktop shortcut to wow_freakz.exe and run the game from that! Never use blizzard's Launcher.exe!

When i download the game from Freakz wow link i get the game in 22 rar archives part1-22. How to unrar it when files get duplicated and it take like forever....

I tried following your instructions with no luck.
I successfully unrar'd all the files.
Placed the WOW directory in my program files x86 folder.
Removed WoW.exe and Launcher.exe files
Tried to run repair.exe but it failed to recognize my installation.
I checked the realm list was set.
I proceeded to extract the wowfreakz exe into my wow directory.
Tried to launch the game with the new launcher with no luck. I dont even get an error.

Any ideas?

Update: Nevermind figured it out.

I am having the same problem as those whose game tries to patch. I have done everything that has been said, deleted the launcher, set the realmlist, etc. but it still wants to patch. What do I do?

I just downloaded the client and am about to install...
Got me a WOW trial acount and upgrading from there.

I already tried on OSx, but no luck there. Now trying Win7 on bootcamp

I have another problem, when i download the Launcher, my antivirus system detects it as a trojan. I can't believe this, is it a bug/mistake or real?

Well consider launcher as a "crack" to play on wow freakz and as You probably know some cracks can be seen by AV software as malicious

I've got the same problem, that some of you got. my game still wants to patch, although i deleted the launcher.exe and replaced it by the freakz launcher! i don't know what to do. the realmlist is also set to set realmlist wow.freakz.ro. and repair.exe doesn't work, because it doesn't recognize the installation folder.

1) So i downloaded the torrent
2) deleted the LAUNCHER (my files didnt say .exe)
3) clicked on WOW icon to play
4) NO LUCK

Round 2:

1) downloaded torrent
2) deleted the wow and launcher (my files didnt say .exe)
3) downloaded the wow freak launcher from this site
4) extract it to the folder containing all wow files
5) run repair (NO LUCK, it didnt work, failed to repair)
6) so confuse...

Download the torrent.
After downloading run a Hash Check to make sure all the files are fully downloaded.
Delete the following files:


After this, run Repair.exe.
Now edit the realmlist file, put in the freakz launcher and make a desktop shortcut of it. Always run the game from that shortcut!

I did that, and i encounter some other problems beside from Hash Check (cuz i dk where that is)

1) The repair doesnt work cuz it said unable to repair

2) and after the initial step of deleting the launcher, where do I find the second Freakz launcher?

Here's how you do a Hash Check. Almost identical for every torrent client.

K so i got the Hash Check down

The repair still doesnt work. Weird thing is all those wow, launcher, and repair files doesnt have the .exe at the end for me. Is that the problem?

and when extract the Freakz Launcher to the "client folder" (by client folder, you guys mean the WOW folder right?)

Hey guys,
I get a problem every time I try to open the actual WoW-Freakz file, and any other form of '.Exe' file.
I get the message:

ERROR #134 (0x85100086) Fatal Condition
Program: C:\Users\predator\Downloads\World of Warcraft 4.0.6a FREAKZ Edition\World of Warcraft\World of Warcraft\wow_freakz.exe

Failed to open archive Data/wow-update-13205.MPQ. Missing or corrupted data.
Unable to recover using data from the network. Please check your Internet connection and try again.

It used to be the WoW-update-13164.MPQ but I took some other advice and deleted it...
To no avail. :c
Does anyone know how to fix this?
It's the fourth time I've redownloaded everything.
I've done that, used CCleaner to clean registry, everything.

The patch I have right now is 4.0.6 (default patch from the torrentz on you guys website)
