Pe langa pomii fructiferi pe care ii are in pepiniera, Statiunea de Cercetare si Dezvoltare Pomicola din Oradea se mandreste si cu o recolta spontana de ciuperci gigantice. Cea mai mare dintre ele are un diametru de 40 de centimetri si cantareste 4,5 kg. Toate au forma sferica si o culoare crem, asemanatoare celor din conserve. Seful fermei, dr. inginer Aurora Venig, a declarat ca legumele sunt comestibile, dar nu isi explica aparitia lor in pepiniera de pomi fructiferi.
