I would like to know how do you obtain it.Does it require a long questline or is it a chance drop?Do I have to do PvP to get the books that start it?

Nope , it's obtainable only via SHOP : Legendary Itmes --> Corrupted Ashbringer --> 4.9 $

As for the original Corrupted Ashbringer, it's no longer in the game, you can get it just by the shop/
