Death Knight Starting Zone Guide

The following pieces of information will guide you on your path on creating a proper Death Knight champion. It is crucial that you follow it exactly and do not leave the area before finishing the final quest, as presented here.

1. In Service Of The Lich King
2. The Emblazoned Runeblade - loot one Battle-worn Sword and use it on a Runeforge
3. Runeforging: Preparation For Battle - approach a Runeforge and use the new "Runeforging" skill to add an "enchant" to your weapon (of choice)
4. The Endless Hunger - use the Acherus Shackle Key on one of the Acherus Soul Prisons to fight an Unworthy Initiate
5. The Eye Of Acherus
6. Death Comes From On High - use one of the Eye of Acherus Control Mechanisms and guide your Eye of Archerus to each location where you use Siphon of Acherus
7. The Might Of The Scourge - take the "purplish" portal and meet up with Highlord Darion Mograine
8. Report To Scourge Commander Thalanor
9. The Scarlet Harvest - use the Scourge Gryphon to reach the outside world
10. If Chaos Drives, Let Suffering Hold The Reins - defeat x10 Scarlet Infantryman & x10 Citizen of Havenshire
Also, take the following quests from NPCs around the area:

• Death's Challenge - challenge & defeat x5 Death Knight Initiate
  
• Tonight We Dine In Havenshire - loot x15 Saronite Arrows
  
• Abandoned Mail - simple quest from an Abandoned Mailbox, whilst doing the above mentioned quest
  
• Grand Theft Palomino - mount a Havenshire Stallion, go back to Salanar the Horseman and use the ability to "Deliver Stolen Horse"
  
  • Into the Realm of Shadows - defeat a Dark Rider of Acherus, mount up on his Acherus Deathcharger, go back to the camp and use the ability called "Horseman's Call" to summon Salanar the Horseman
11. Gothik the Harvester
12. The Gift That Keeps On Giving - use Gift of the Harvester on Scarlet Miners to have a % chance to spawn Scarlet Ghouls, which you guide back to Gothik (one at a time or as much as possible, to make up x5)
13. An Attack Of Opportunity
14. Massacre At Light's Point - reach the beach and use a Scarlet Cannon to kill 100 Scarlet Defenders; use Scarlet Cannon for distance shots, use Electro-magnetic Pulse if the Scarlet NPCs get too close to you, and when you've completed the quest use the Skeletal Gryphon to return to camp
15. Victory At Death's Breach! - use the Scourge Gryphon to give the good news to Highlord Darion Mograine

• The Power Of Blood, Frost And Unholy - passed Highlord Darion Mograine you will find Lord Thorval
16. The Will Of The Lich King - take the Gryphon back down and search for Prince Valanar
17. The Crypt of Remembrance - on your way towards Prince Keleseth, also take the following quest:

• The Plaguebringer's Request - x10 Crusader Skulls from various NPCs around the area, x1 Iron Chain from the forge & x1 Empty Cauldron from the basement of the Inn
  
• Noth's Special Brew
18. Nowhere To Run And Nowhere To Hide - defeat Mayor Quimby inside the Town Hall & loot the New Avalon Registry

• Lambs To The Slaughter - defeat x10 Scarlet Crusader Members & x15 Citizens of New Avalon
19. How To Win Friends And Influence Enemies - open Ornately Jeweled Box, equip the 2 Keleseth's Persuader and beat up Scarlet Members until you "persuade" them to "spill the beans"
20. Behind Scarlet Lines - find Orbaz Bloodbane, on the second level of the house
21. The Path Of The Righteous Crusader - loot the New Avalon Patrol Schedule, inside the Scarlet Hold, upstairs

• Brothers In Death - you'll find Koltira Deathweaver inside the basement torture chamber of the Scarlet Hold
22. Bloody Breakout - defend Koltira Deathweaver and obtain the head of High Inquisitor Valroth
23. A Cry For Vengeance! - report outside to Knight Commander Plaguefist
24. A Special Surprise (depending on your Race) - go inside the house in front of you, approach the NPC related to your Race and after its speech engage & defeat it
25. A Sort Of Homecoming
26. Ambush At The Overlook - use the Makeshift Cover, at location, and defeat the Scarlet Courier for the necessary items
27. A Meeting With Fate - speak to Orbaz Bloodbane to receive the Scarlet Disguise, mount up and go to the harbor to meet up with High General Abbendis
28. The Scarlet Onslaught Emerges
29. Scarlet Armies Approach... - use the portal created by Orbaz Bloodbane
30. The Scarlet Apocalypse - use the Scourge Gryphon and seek out The Lich King
31. An End To All Things... - use the Horn of the Frostbrood to summon a Frostbrood Vanquisher with which to defeat x150 Scarlet Soldiers and x10 Scarlet Ballista
32. The Lich King's Command - you can reach Scourge Commander Thalanor by going through the mine behind the Lich King forces, through the Noxious Glades and into Browman Mill
33. The Light of Dawn - Autocomplete Quest (just turn it in)
34. Taking Back Acherus - take this quest and use your new learned ability Death Gate to return to the Ebon Hold
35. The Battle For The Ebon Hold - take the portal downstairs and defeat Patchwerk and x10 Terrifying Abomination
36. You will now receive the final quest:

Where Kings Walk - take the Portal to Stormwind, reach the Stormwind Keep and see King Varian Wrynn
Warchief's Blessing - take the Portal to Orgrimmar, enter Grommash Hold and see Garrosh Hellscream.
