Bug description: U recently fixed the dot duration for classes and some of them are broken. I am reporting for warlock (affliction spec ) only. Others classes should be tested also.

I watched many videos and read all about it and what i found about affliction is that Duration is the same for all dots except the Unstable affliction. U can see in the video guy starts with 16 sec agony (cuz of head ) 14 sec Corruption which is correct (even with HERO buff on he still has 14 sec original ) but u can see his Unstable affliction is like 6-ish second.

on WoW freakz i currently have 14 sec agony ( with head ) 12 sec Corruption and 7ish seccond Unstable Affliction.

So in short words Only UA duration is lowered ( the damege is still 4 ticks ) others are NOT affected.

Its a BIG bug for affliction warlocks atm.


"Haste squeezes in more ticks for the duration of your dot but doesn't increase the actual duration. It also creates a partial tick at the end to make up for that the duration of the dot doesn't line up perfectly with it's tick rate.
For example if a dot ticks for 10k each tick and ticks 5 times over 10 seconds at baseline. Then lets say you add some amount of haste so that it ticks 6.5 times over 10 seconds. Now it will have 6 ticks for 10k each and will then create a partial tick of 5k as the dot is falling off.
This way with 10% haste, your dot does 10% more damage. With 100% haste your dot does 100% more damage, and so on."

agony duration is 14 sec right now should be 18 sec ,,coruption duration is 11 should be 14 sec

The duration of DoTS are Constants, this can bee seen in http://www.askmrrobot.com. Take for example Corruption(https://www.wow-freakz.com/spells.php?spell=172&name=corruption) (http://www.askmrrobot.com/wow/theory/mechanic/spell/corruption?spec=WarlockAffliction&version=7_1_5_23420)

Duration (sec)
= 14
if HasTalent(AbsoluteCorruption)
= FightDurationSec

Interval (sec)
= 2 / (1 + TotalHaste)

I am no math genius but it's clear that the duration is fixated on 14 seconds. Haste only affects the time between each tick while the duration is the same, if haste would work the way it's right now in the server stacking haste would not increase the damage so it wouldn't be of any use.

P.D: The changes done would only work for Unstable Affliction as it's duration is the only one affected by haste.

right now with bl efect agony duration is 11 sec coruption is even lower which should not be happening,also pandemic doesnt work at all

So i don't want to be mean or anything like that, but it sounds like this. If there's a positive bug it's insta fixed and if it's a negative bug/bugs like demonology warlocks for instance, then nobody give's a shiate, correct me if im wrong sir.

Beisdes breaking dots, this "fix' broke all the hots from druid, and also SPRING BLOSSOMS AND EFFLORESCENCE talent doesnt work anymore.

@MeizNab ... yes u are right ... but still i dont undersand ... i dont know if i want to cry or to laugh ... were in the world u see haste makeing DoTs durations lower WTF
It does not make any sense
... the ones who make this *fixes* are supposed to know how a spell works ... or at least try to understand ...

and at 15:48 u can see his Dots have exactly the duration that is written on the spell

I don't want to respond to your messages. Just for your educational purpose @Okapy69 there are hundreds of spells that get their max duration lowered by haste, but hey, maybe you should just try to understand too.

Also, I didn't see any of you crying for 4 *** months that haste made your dots hit twice as strong as they were supposed to. But half a day of dots hitting lower, you all become desperate and QQ
