I love it how I couldn't connect to the game, the website or even the forum for more than half an hour, and then, when the server does come back online, I see this:

Freakz™ be like: "Nope, nothing happened. You just imagined us being offline, we were never offline since 1986."
I don't know how long exactly it was offline, I wasn't awake.

Yesterday, I came back to playing WoW after several months, and the day I come back and try to do a DS 10n raid, the 'unexpected' happens. Two lag-spikes. Some in the group got DCs, made us wipe Warmaster and Spine. And I never got to kill Madness because the group broke up after the 2nd wipe :c .

I have been in the same situation. I couldn't connect to freakz but I had internet and I was doing my stuff (you know pirating and shit) and when I finally managed to log in some of my guildies said they were online the whole day ( fking nolifers man). So the problem wasn't in me, neither in freakz, but somewhere in between.
About the second part of your post.. I logged ~1 week ago and signed for a battleground to kick some horde butts.. then AV poped. I Alt-F4-ed mid game and have not logged in since.

Same here, it was a problem with Romanian IP's also not just only foreign IP's.

It is true that I only checked the forum and the website and not the game
