Hi, assuming that I'm using the default x10 leveling rate, how do heirlooms affect the experience we receive? Is it additive or multiplicative?

If x10 gets us 1000% exp, does the 10% buff give us 1100ish% exp? or 1010% exp?

Just wondering if heirlooms are a wise investment of my precious vote points.

I'm not a math major, so feel free to correct my napkin math.

Thanks!

The answer is additive. You add all the XP bonuses, you don't multiply them.

While it is additive, the 10% bonus from an heirloom is applied after the default 10x multiplier. Effectively this is a boost from 1000% to ~1100% from the base xp.

I tested this as a level 6 monk killing a level 6 boar. W/ heirloom = 825 xp, w/o the heirloom = 750 xp.

I believe that heirlooms are a decent choice to use vote points.
