Is Soul-Trader Beacon companion bugged?

Descrierea bugului / Bug description: I vote this companion coz I want this http://www.wowhead.com/item=38186 (Ethereal Credit). But after I summoned Soul-Trader Beacon, it didn't absorb any soul from mobs and I am level 83 now and the mobs I killed are also level 83. We are at the same level but why it didn't work. Is it not working well? If it is working well plz tell me how to fix it

It does not work due to the Ethereal Credit vendor from Gurubashi Arena, which sells rare mounts for Ethereal Credits. Ethereal credits can be obtained by opening the chest from Gurubashi Arena which spawns at every 30 minutes.
