Item Appearances while in a group / vendored

WoW Freakz link: xxx general mechanic not linked to a quest, an item, ect...

Bug description:
On retail : you are supposed to learn the Appearances when the item drops (temporarly)
They are removed if you trade the item
On Freakz : you learn the Appearances when the item is equipped, xmogged, timer expires

Proof: I sold one item that dropped
We were 2 when it dropped
The Appearances wasn't in my collection
"1-Can you equip the item?
2-Does equipping the item retain the bonus from your Armor Skills passive? (Really, this just means it needs to be the armor type you’re supposed to be wearing)
3-Is it bound to you? (The item must be permanently soulbound, trading an item during the grace period timer will revoke the appearance)
4-Is it at least Uncommon quality?"
Selling should permanatly bound the item at least (source dev tweet found on "https://wow.gamepedia.com/Appearances"; about when you should unlock an Appearance)
The 3rd point isn't matched on freakz
