Hello,

I noticed this week that the item drop rate in Legion zones and dungeons was drastically lowered. If I remember correctly it was 5x for grey items, and I found this on the site but I can't seem to find it now.

As a consequence, the usual gold farming spots don't work anymore, and I can't sell some items I was able to before (not sure if this is a consequence but I definitely could sell them before I noticed this).

All of this happened during this week, because last weekend everything seemed to be fine.

Any reason why this was done?

Thanks

Hello Vernumis,

By "farming spot" do you refer to Argus ? If that's the case, then yes, the drop rates were lowered due to the fact that there were items constantly dropping and you would sell them for 600 gold which wasn't intended nor blizzlike as you can make a big profit out of it in a short period of time.

Here is also the info regarding any rates on our server:

Gold = 1x
Reputation = 1x
Currencies = 1x
Items = 1x
XP in pre-BFA Zones = 10x
XP in BFA Zones = 3x

Best Regards,
Fanca

I merely wanted to know if it was intentionally lowered or it was some "collateral damage".

And no, I did not mean the mobs in Argus, I meant the murlocs on the island in Val'sharah or the trash in some dungeons.

Thanks

I assume it was intentional. Fanca even mentioned it "wasn't intended nor blizzlike" and they have nerfed other gold farms in the past (for example, Bastion of Twilight)

Hello Vernumis,

Sorry for the late response. In fact it is intentional as I said it's to prevent people farming gold by unofficial and not blizzlike ways hence them bypassing the gold system. We really do not want that to happen as that could be very profitable in short period of time while there are people who work hard for their gold and put lots of effort in it.

Best Regards,
Fanca
