Lag for 2 machines?

My wife and I just joined. When either of us play alone we get almost zero lag, but when we log on at the same time one of us will randomly lag while the other is fine and can see their movements. Any ideas on why this happens and if there is a way to fix it?

Have you tried unchecking from the game options the "Optimize network for speed" label?

Also, try changing the DirectX version from 11 to 9 if that option is selected.

I have not, should it always be on direct x 9? and ill try the optimize network for speed option.

DirectX11 may cause certain game spikes and freezes.
