Mutes

So i have been thinking about mutes!
They should be done like this: Mute only applies to global chat and you should be able to communicate with others via say, whisper, guild chat!
Unless they have done something much more terrible than just spam or spam more than once they should be muted from /say but should have the availability to communicate via guild chat or whispers! That is my opinion muting! Thank you for reading this and post your thoughts about my suggestion!!!

That's not going to happen.

If you have done something wrong (doesn't matter on what channel) you will be punished aka muted on all channels. You didn't have to do that, anyway.

Diminishing punishments would just encourage bad language

Yes doing something bad on chat deserves a mute but to be fair muting on all channels needs a good reason to qualify why to mute on all of the channels? At least give the availability to communicate /whisper or with guild chat since the spam only arose in a certain channel and there you only need to be muted! Having availability to talk with friends in your guild chat or with /whisper would not do anything bad! And diminishing a punishment like mute on a certain channel would never encourage bad language! Make the mute long if the person has done it more than once! Just keep the person away from the certain channel/channels! That would be more than fair! Everyone has the rights to communicate!

Why not stop breaking the rules instead and not get muted?
