My Suggestions :)

Hello everyone. I'm going to make a list of suggestions as i currently have nothing else to do with the server being temporarily unavailable

suggestion 1: make the website more user friendly.

the website as a whole, forums included, is difficult to navigate through and not just because it's mostly in romanian. you could add more color. all of the mono-tone colors make everything blend together. could add large buttons for the most common things [on the wow version of freakz] such as donating, vote, etc.

suggestion 2: a politer, more professional staff.

i've witnessed good and bad behavior on part of the staff so far, i'm 26 years old, had my own business once [not anymore, it didn't fail.. i just went back to school ] and have been a gm/admin before. so i at least have some experience here. some examples on how to improve the staff would be..

no cursing. a staff member should not be using words like ***, or shit, or damn, or anything else of that regard. no rude behavior. if someone is being rude/a dick/asshole/whatever, they should be warned and/or punished, not verbally assaulted.

the staff should maintain a positive appearance regardless of any behavior displayed by the players here. it's better for business, and creates a more fun atmosphere. if a staff member cannot maintain a positive or at least neutral attitude during a stressful situation, they probably shouldn't be a staff member

staff should not be seen or heard. i haven't personally seen a staff member, but i have heard them. staff should never speak openly. not in global chat, not in /say, never anywhere except private messages unless an announcement needs to be made via the gm announcement commands.

suggestion 3: donation shop.

this one is more of a suggestion based on my own preferences. the shop seems a little difficult to navigate through without knowing all of the cata items and where they drop from. maybe changing it to something like this may help?

[Could just change the word Miscellaneous to packages so you don't have to have the word packages on all of them xD]

Again, this was just a quickly thought out way of setting up the donation shop.

And those are all my suggestions for now Just remember, Prettiness is above everything when it comes to business on the customer's side. If something don't work, make it pretty! Pretty attitudes, pretty colors, pretty pictures, pretty much everything pretty lol. I'm serious lol. It don't have to be all flowers and shit, but the easier and more appealing something is, the more people like it. Just go to a club and see if the complicated ugly women are the ones with 20 guys standing next to them.

I will just give my 2 cents if anyone cares.

Suggestion 1: because of the multiple modifications made on the platform, meaning that it started from a plain phpBB2 but modified alot, it's kinda impossible to change the skin. It would take alot of coding, designing and lots and lots of time.
Because Shocker is the only one that could do this, it's hard for him to code for everything, the WoW server, the website and many other things.

Suggestion 3: there are many websites where you can search through all the items you want (obviously everyone knows wowhead). So you could just go there, see where it drops and go to the line where it states the cost of the item. Pretty easy imo.

Thats not the point we know how to find stuff and do that kind of thing. The think is that persons are LAZY, the easier something is the most response you will get.

Same thing with prettyness. The more beautifully something is the more time you will spend on it even if you waste your time.

If it takes to much coding so be it. But I remember the day I went to this site first time and it also was something that I noticed. Just some thoughts that may be consider if you want to get more response to donation and stuff.

To Nazty Solid post man I'm definitely thinking the same way. If you want to do business and one company has a shinny logo and the other a crap one made of Paint you know where to go. Cause the look of the logo gives the idea of the product even if that Idea is wrong it happens. Its how humans think.

Yea vraz.. i understand that coding and such can be difficult, so changes take time if they're even considered in the first place. but these things will indeed attract new customers without changing anything in a negative way for anyone else. and more customers = more money = happier shocker xD

one thing many of us do that major in business, is we also major in psychology. and between the two classes you learn about flaws in human nature which many of us are already aware of. the important one here being that the representation of a product is generally more important than the product itself.

i understand shocker is busy, so maybe hiring a volunteer marketing team might be something worth considering. a lot of college students take on small projects all the time, could try and find some of those during spare time. could also download a copy of the website and find college kids that would like to improve on a website. they may do it for the experience, or want payment in the form of listing it in their portfolio until their portfolio improves. there's many free options that can be considered with little to no risk at all.

I don't know if i'm talking in Shocker's name too, but personally, I have been surfing on this actual site for over an year now. I know it by heart. I do so much stuff on it (GM scripts and etc), it actually feels like home for me, if I could see global channel from the Site, I wouldn't even need the enter in-game.

So, if you have not got my idea yet, I do not have any clue how to make it more "user-friendly"

except you people are familiar with the site, and know it well. you're just a small group of a rather large audience. you cater to the majority, not the small select few and in every single big business, they make things easier and more appealing. i know i didn't even use the website for a few days just because of how plain and difficult it was to navigate through. imagine how many people that are even more lazy just plain out don't go on the server because they can't figure out the website.

if things are not right out there in front of everyone, a large majority of people won't even bother. take wikipedia for example.. they know this to be fact to the point where they made it where when you go to their website you would be brought to a simple form to submit about the new internet laws and all you had to do was type in your email and click submit. they had the entire message already pre-written for you, and ll the information in vague but appealing text. if they didn't, no one would have done anything. the easier it is for everyone, the more people you will attract, that is an unarguable fact.
