Open link in new tab

If you paste a link in a post without using BBCode [url][/url] the link doesnt open in a new tab. It opens in your current window which is annoying because you have to go back and find the place you were reading. etc..
You can always; Ctrl-click or click the mousewheel but its still annoying.

I dont know if this is intentional because when you navigate on the website you basically click links to the different sections and that why it opens in same tab. So we dont get 1000 tabs when we browse

Possible to make links open in a new tab only in posts?

Example with BBCode:

We should have the same for both. However, do we really need "forced in new tab"? I always considered the user should choose where to open the link.
Normal click = current tab
Shift + click OR middle button click = new tab

If people use BBCode to link URLs its forced to open in a new tab anyways.
But if someone doesnt use BBCode suddenly URLs in posts behave differently.

Why have 2 seperate ways? Why not have the same for both?

Im only talking about links in posts like this; for the forum in general when we navigate around links should open in same tab ofcourse.

Its not a HUGE problem or anything but if its not too much work its a nice little tweak

My mistake.

For me atleast, I think they should be forced.
When I browse around and click links here and there suddenly I dont notice the user didnt use BBCode and forget to ctrl-click.
Then I have to go back and find where I was reading. etc

I believe people should be able to chose between opening in the same or new tab by simply click or ctrl+click.

When using BBCode you cant chose. Possible to make them same as normal URLs then? atleast have the same for each so it less confusing.
