Other things that turn your PvP on:
- Using a quest object (from world quests for example) when someone that has their PvP mode is around you will turn your PvP mode on too after you finish using the object (I guess this is somehow related in the same way as Shadowmeld).
- Azshara (the territory north of Orgrimmar) is contested territory. Contested territories shouldn't activate your PvP mode. When you enter Azshara, your PvP mode turns on.
- A player with their PvP mode turned off should not be able to use any spells (beneficial or offensive) on any targets that have their PvP mode turned on.

THIS INCLUDES CITY GUARDS.

Unfortunately this is not the reality in our server.

The list goes on and I will try to post every single thing that I find in regards to this frustrating issue, but.....

In general, instead of fixing things that can activate your PvP mode one by one, you can just disable all beneficial/offensive actions between players with PvP on and players with PvP off.
The only 2 ways your PvP mode can be activated should be:
1. Entering an enemy territory (for example if you're an Alliance player and enter Durotar/Orgrimmar/Undercity, etc....)
2. Typing /pvp on.

There should not be ANY OTHER WAY of activating your PvP. That's what a non-PvP realm means after all.

Some of these are still bugged like Paladin's Aura of Mercy. It's a very annoy bug when you're doing thing like world quests.

A few months since I made this post. Most of these spells still activate your PvP mode.

Wild Grow spell of Resto Druid heal also allies with PvP ON, then it get activated for you too.

Monk ww strike of the wind lord to....what i did is when bursting and using storm earth and fire and after that i cast strike of the wind lord
it always happen when doing a world quest on the location where there is some alliance beside me and he has pvp on

Meteor Burn Trigger pvp too.
It's dot after Meteor spell land on the ground.

I managed to capture it looks like it happen when my storm earth and fire using strike of the windlord and hit the enemy player
will try to capture more if this video is still not enough to tell about the bug
