Question about voteshop items

Hiya, just wanted to ask... I have a character on Horde, and I'd really like to get the Bulwark of the Royal Guard : http://www.wowhead.com/item=47978#.. The problem is, it only drops for the Alliance in ToC. So, would my character be able to use this item on Horde if I were to redeem it through voteshop? I'm just intending to mog this onto my shield, really.

in 4.0.6 u could for sure, but i cant transmog vanilla hunter horde set anymore in 4.3.4.
so either they have yet to fix this or it will stay the way it is.
