Blizz post:
"The hunter will gain the benefit of Deterrence even if disarmed."
Patchnote 4.0.6:
"Detterence now provides 100% chance for melee attacks to miss instead of 100% parry chance. This means that attacks that cannot be parried, notably some rogue abilities, can now be prevented by Deterrence, and the hunter will gain the benefit of Deterrence even if disarmed."

On our server, able to disarm, he can not cast Detterence.

Fix it please.

se pare ca de pe 4.0.6 s-a produs schimbarea. Deterrence numai tine de weapon si da miss. Eu si pe rogue si pe warr am putut da disarm pe hunter cu deterrence.

i must say you are wrong.
Detterence provides 100% chaince for melee to miss ... TO MISS
That was becouse rogues could cheap shot you from behind (you cant parry attacks coming from behind)
only in patch 4.1 you can use deterence even while disarmed (where is mentioned exactly that NOW YOU CAN USE DETERENCE WHILE DISARMED).

i know this may come to you as a blow in the smacker, but it's a fact, and you must take it as it is , not to search for favorable interpretations .

wait for 4.1 patch , and do your best at huntering

Lolo man u're fail. If detterence provides a parry=disarm=cant parry.
If Detterence provides a miss=disarm=miss and miss.
4.0.6 patch disarm doesn't can't use Detterence.

You are all right but talking about different things. Webberas is right.

Keep in mind that you CAN'T parry from behind, but you CAN miss. That being said, they made deterrence in 4.0.6 that rogues, ferals or other classes can't attack you from behind when using deterrence, therefore making it impossible to disarm, stun the hunter like back in wotlk.

The EFFECT of deterrence refers to it as the ability to miss/dodge/parry or whatever is.
From patch 4.1, the spell can be used even if you're disarmed before you want to use it.
