This is not a bug fire nova is a new spell since 4.2, it does NOT require any totem, its purpose is easier aoe in raids.

as i said.its partially chained to fire totem. I cant use in without any type of fire totem.dont trust me test it urself.

first one: attempt to cast fire nova without any type of fire totem while having my flame shock on target

second one:fire nova being casted with flame shock + fire totem however it consumed my flame shock even tho it had 15 secs duration when i used fire nova

O sorry then, I misunderstood you. Yes you DO NOT REQUIRE A FIRE TOTEM ONLY AN EXISTING FLAME SHOCK DOT, TO USE FIRE NOVA.

And still it will only work if you put a totem

Code:

[Fire Nova] has been redesigned and decoupled from shaman Fire totems. Instead, it now pulses the Fire Nova effect from each target that is afflicted by the shaman's own  [Flame Shock] debuff. It now damages all enemies except the target hit by Flame Shock. The ability's cooldown has been reduced to 4 seconds, down from 10.
