Bug description: Shadowmeld should NOT cancel incoming damage. NOWHERE on forums which are about Shadowmeld, talk about how this ability can cancel, or can be used to make a the night elf immune to incoming damage. The only way it should prevent spells from hitting the night elf is by using it WHEN the enemy is casting something, to interrupt it, or to escape CC (reported & confirmed bug).

Check From what I know the mechanic should be like this.
When you press shadowmeld there should be a delay between the moment you press it and the moment you actually go in stealth.
That window is like 0.3-0.5 seconds but in that time you should be immune to everything.
So if a priest comes to fear you and you press shadowmeld in that exact moment .. you shouldn't get that fear..

So basically it should happen like with delay spells like chaos bolt.
You cast the spell and when it hits it doesn't do anything. Like you hit nothing.

Stop spam posts al ready rejected like 20 time until u get Real proof video from retail on same patch

And to quote, it's 0.2-0.5 sec, not 1, not 2 seconds. It's a blink of an eye. It is not the case here. Once you used Shadowmeld, even if you instantly remove your stealth, you still become immune, which you shouldn't. No matter how long the travel time is, the target is going to be immune to everything once shadowmeld is used. What do you not understand?

Wrong. You should be able to immune any flying spells with shadowmeld, even instant stuns if you use it in the same time like the guy that is stunning. You can even shadowmeld rogues blind.

Check there, that was a bit before legion but nothing changed.

I also checked with xaryulol on twitch about this and I got the same answer.

P.S:
" use SM all the time in PVP.

Its like a 2nd feign death and is great for dropping aggro (pets) or disrupting a devastating chaos bolt.

With shadowmeld you can actually dodge an incoming spella s well. Warlock casts shadowbolt? Cast shadowmeld and it does no damage to you. Same with alot of other projectiles.

Smeld is a 2 min CD that will let you dodge one attack- A chaos bolt would be the best thing to use it on"
