Bug description: The problem with this talent is that you cannot generate enough insanity to reach/sustain yourself in Voidform to 100 stacks of it. I tried it on a dummy and I barely managed to get 70 stacks of Voidform (with Power Infusion and Shadow Word: Death), before dying.

The reason I attached that video with the encounter was to show you how this shadow priest gets 85 stacks of Voidform WITHOUT using Shadow Word: Death or Power Infusion.

Also, after he dies and "releases", the cooldown/debuff of the spell resets, which doesn't happen here.

Please stop using 7.0.3 videos to justify 7.1.5 mechanics, all classes received pretty major changes, borderline *mini reworks* in 7.1.5 and shadowpriest was no exception.

In 7.0.3 (november 2016 period, same time as that video you linked was uploaded) STM was making your abilities generate 200% more insanity, in 7.1.5 its just 100%. Also lingering insanity was a core spell not a talent like it is now which gave the priest more freedom. You will be able to reach 100 stacks again but you must wait for nighthold gear, all classes must wait for nighthold gear because they were balanced around these items/set bonuses.

As for the cd reset thing i cant say if its a real issue or it was just Xavius specific, if you can find some solid proof that STM cd should reset when you release then make an apropriate bug report, else this whole post is invalid.

If we are talking about the stats that sustain you in Voidform (crit and haste), I have 1% less crit than this guy, so it shouldn't be that much of a difference and you cannot throw the Nighthold gear as an argument because, yes, it is an improvement and it makes it somewhat to stay in Voidform, but it's not essential!

This is the relevant bonus for keeping yourself in S2M, but even so, it's 1 insanity.

In this one he gets around 90 stacks and if we look at the stats again, the difference is crit, 1%.

At the moment,from what I know,drain formula is incorrect because of the rollback.And I also made a post about insanity drain(https://forum.wow-freakz.com/view-post-5650938.html). Pinocchio Evreiesc is right with what he says about 200% insanity on 7.0.3 and 100% in 7.1.5
