Abandon quest > unstuck on site > delete wow cache folder > retake quest > try redoing it
Get rid of unwanted quests in your log
Also unstuck on site to get rid of any old debuffs

RE: I did as instructed, several times, also did this on my girlfriends computer and still doing the same.
I am doing a workaround, I remembered on retail I had to collect all parts before handing in. The quest tool tip is bringing back to the lodge, I suspect that is the problem Although the npc tooltip is not showing the part drops it did drop for me on the Harpies and on the Mystics. Will let you know if it does not work after that.

Confirmed, you have to get all the parts before clicking on XR9-47
