Bug description: Allow me to make this clear right off the bat: I'm sure the quest works just fine. It's something odd that happened that made the quest disappear permanently even though I had a 13 hour timer left on it.
I had the quest pop up on the daily map so I created the bullet dispenser and headed towards Thalyssra, the npc on Shal'aran to give it in. Right when I interacted with her and clicked "next" on the quest, my que for Coren Direbrew popped up and instinctively instead of clicking "finish" I accepted the que popup instead. As luck would have it, I was instantly zoned to BlackRock Depths which did not give me time to hit "Finish". Oh well. But the moment I was done and got zoned back to Shal'aran, Thalyssra no longer had the question mark on her head. No matter how much I ran around trying the quest to materialize and no matter how many cache wipes I would do, the quest refused to show up. It's like the server assumed I finished my quest, even though I still had the item in my bags and my engineering still did not advance either.

I raised the issue ingame but I was advised to post it here.

Proof: Uhh... it's hard to give proof for something like this. I do however have the item still in the bag if that helps? Apart from that, only a replication of the reported bug could help, which sadly I cannot.
