Random game freezes

I get 4-5 crashes every day. Mostly in arenas and BGs,but it also happens outside as well. I tried deleting Cache and Errors, and whole World of Warcraft and downloading it again, but it's still happening. Please help, I'm a pleb.

What other programs do you run in background (anything ram/processor consuming?) and how much RAM do you have?

It looks like there's probably something wrong with your PC, not the wow client. Do you also have similar crashes in other games?

Do you remember when did it start? Maybe you installed some new drivers (mainly graphic card) or any new software and then it started to happen?

I think this is server side problem, i am also having those wow freezes but sometimes less, sometimes more. For example few days ago we were farming Firelands mobs for some recipes and members were getting insane amount of wow freezes. Also this kind of freeze never happened to me on another server so i'm pretty sure this is freakz side problem.

I run only skype and Mozilla. And I've been doing that for years now (during Freakz cata as well) and everything was fine. I don't really play any other games and if I remember correctly I didn't have those crashes on another server that I played on for a little bit few months ago (not gonna name it).
It started when I came back to Freakz and that was like, maybe 5-7 weeks ago.
@Freak: Some of those crashes were caused by certain mobs in FL.

Doesn't matter, its same type of crash that i get sometimes in arena, point is that crash is from server side

Imo there's a difference between a crash (Fatal Error) and game freeze, but still, it's really hard to find out why it's happening, for example I didin't have any game crash/freezes yet (excluding BG crashes some time ago, but it's already fixed)

One thing that comes to my head is deleting that freakz.dll file from your wow folder (if you have it of course), I heard it was causing some problems for few people, but to be honest I highly doubt this is the reason of your freezes/crashes, anyway it's worth to try.

Do you use "standard" WoW client? I mean no HD WoD models and other stuff like that?

I use "standard" WoW client that I downloaded from Freakz, addons from freakz as well.

What about that freakz.dll? Have you deleted it? Any improvement or it's still freezing?

If it's still happening, try it:

Open WOW -> System -> Advanced -> set graphics api to DirectX9 (or DirectX11 if you have 9 at this moment)


You can also try updating your graphic card drivers to the newest stable version.

I deleted freakz.dll and downloaded WoD models, and I didn't get freeze last 3days, don't know how or why but it's working. I'm not gonna touch anything.
