I think they will fix it, but first they repair the class spells, quests and other important buggs.

Oh I say that because here's how it works on retail:

You get dig sites marked on your world map, in each dig site you can 'dig' 3 times for fragments, then the site is depleted and you have to move to another one, which often lies on the other side of the continent. Since you get around 12 fragments per site, you will need about 3 sites per artifact. On top of that, from around 50 skill you only gain skill points when completing artifact from fragments. At least that's how it worked till around 150 when I ragequitted, I can only expect it gets worse than that later on. This sums up to an insane grind that puts maxing out fishing on 10 toons to shame.

As for mounts, there's only 2, one of which is really an alchemy recipe.

As far as I'm concerned, Archeology is a waste of Shocker's time.

Yes, it'a a thing for a long time but firstly: flying by flight master from first to second site of continent take a max. 5 sec. (with loading) so travel isn't big problem. Secondly: I think a lot of people want to try archeology and will find a time to gain skills in this -

Absolutely no need to fix that first ;D

The prority I see what needs to be fixed (don't want to say the GM's how they need to handly stuff just my opinion)

1st class and Profession benefits. (No alchemy no benefit from that)
2th PvE (progress is good on that, would love to see 3th boss in BoT released in 2 weeks or something)
3th Guild Vendor stuff, and guild stuff like cata fishfeast / archivements
4th Some more BG's
5th Arena Fix for arena frames.

Just my thoughts
